With Thrive: The Shawbrook Apprenticeship Programme, you don’t have to choose between learning and earning.

Designed for 18-24 year olds ready to kick-start their future, Thrive gives you hands-on experience in a leading financial services business, a competitive salary, and fully supported professional qualifications - all from day one.

This isn’t just work experience. It’s the first step in a real career.

What we're looking for

  • You will have the right to work in the UK and to have lived in the UK continuously for the past 3 years.
  • GCSE grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) or National 5C in Scotland or above in Maths and English are required to join any of our apprenticeship programmes. Students without respective qualifications will be considered in line with any extenuating circumstances.
  • You’ll either be in Year 13, S5 or S6 (Scotland) or equivalent working towards completing your studies in Summer 2026 or looking for your next career move with the opportunity to study towards achieving an advanced (level 3) apprenticeship or a modern Level 6 SCQF Qualification (Scotland) in September this year.
  • We will be flexible on age criteria for applicants who are carers or disabled, in which case you must be 29 or younger at your start date.
  • You cannot apply for an apprenticeship or modern apprenticeship programme if you have a qualification in the apprentice area you are wishing to apply for.

Glasgow Opportunities

Business & Retail Banking Apprentice - SCQF Level 6

This programme is ideal for someone who wants to build a strong foundation in financial services and explore careers in relationship management, sales and marketing, operations or risk.

Over 16-18 months, you’ll gain hands-on experience while working towards a SCQF Level 6 Providing Financial Services Modern Apprenticeship (Scotland).

You’ll join the Retail Mortgage teams, where you’ll help homebuyers navigate the journey of financing their home.

Gaining a deep understanding of the full customer journey and how different teams work together to deliver great outcomes.

Roles are based in Glasgow City Centre.

London Opportunities

Data Analyst Apprentice - Level 4

This programme is ideal for someone who is analytical and ready to start a career in data within financial services.

As a Junior Data Analyst Apprentice, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting our data, reporting and governance activities, while developing practical skills in Power BI, SQL, regulatory reporting and data governance within a professional financial services environment.

Over 15-18 months, you’ll work towards a Level 4 Data Analyst Apprenticeship (Data Fellowship) while contributing to real business outcomes from day one.

You’ll play an active role in Business-As-Usual (BAU) regulatory and operational reporting, helping to ensure our data is accurate, well-controlled and meaningful.

London Opportunities

Cyber Security Apprentice - Level 4

This programme is ideal for someone who is technical, good at problem solving and ready to start a career in cyber security within financial services.

As a Cyber Security Apprentice, you’ll become part of our Information Security team, supporting the safeguarding of Shawbrook’s systems and digital services. Working alongside experienced security professionals, you’ll gain exposure to security operations, incident response, application security, governance and risk — developing a broad understanding of how cyber security operates within a regulated financial services environment.

Throughout the 15-18 month programme, you’ll contribute to live operational activity, including monitoring security alerts, supporting vulnerability management, assisting with incident investigations and helping maintain strong security controls across the Bank. You’ll also take part in structured rotations across different security disciplines, building both technical capability and regulatory awareness while working towards a Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist Apprenticeship.

Roles are based in London.
