Bex Design & Print Ltd, was originally known as Serobex, and was founded by Michael Board in 1987 with just two employees. The company moved to its current premises in 1995 and rebranded as Bex Design & Print. Since then the business has grown considerably while developing a strong reputation for quality, reliability, and customer service.

The company has made substantial investment in state-of-the-art machinery to significantly reduce lead times and costs. This continued investment has meant that Bex Design & Print can offer a wide range of designs and materials, becoming a key supplier to a number of new markets and sectors.

Amcomri Group, a fast-growing acquisitive group of quality British Engineering and Manufacturing businesses, approached Shawbrook following support from the lender on a previous acquisition in 2021.

Shawbrook worked closely with Amcomri Group to understand the target business and their post-transaction strategy, providing a Commercial Loan facility to support the purchase.

It was great to work with Shawbrook on our latest acquisition, following the support we received from them to acquire Premier Limpet last year. John and the team have an excellent understanding of the sector and moved swiftly to provide the funding needed to meet our growth plans.

Mark added:

“Bex Design & Print Limited is an extremely well-run business that has performed particularly well during the recent difficult trading period. The company is a good fit with our growing group of specialist electronics businesses, and we are looking forward to expanding the business further.”

John Hunter, Relationship Director at Shawbrook said:

“It was a pleasure working with the Amcomri team again as they continue to acquire proven, profitable manufacturing businesses across the UK. We’ve developed a strong relationship with the team, built on a shared desire to help SMEs across the UK to grow and reach their goals.”
