Shawbrook has announced the appointment of new Director, James Salmon, who joins the Bank as it continues to invest in its presence in the sponsor market.
James has 15 years of experience within the commercial finance and private equity market, having worked across a number of roles supporting mid-market private equity sponsors achieve leveraged buy-outs, recapitalisations and acquisitions, and public to private transactions. In his most recent role James was a Fund Manager at Big Issue Invest, making impact investments into UK based social enterprises.
The Unitranche proposition was formally launched in June to support mid-market sponsors fund leveraged buy-outs, offering the capabilities normally associated with much larger banks and the agility now synonymous with debt funds. Alongside its established ABL portfolio and following the launch of Growth Capital, a new venture debt product, the Bank is now able to support sponsor-backed businesses throughout the investment lifecycle.
