Safespaces, specialist equipment provider for users with complex needs, is acquired with support from Shawbrook

• A designer and manufacturer of class one medical devices for people with complex needs, Safespaces has been acquired by Euston as it prepares for its next phase of growth
• Having worked with Euston on past transactions, Shawbrook structured a commercial loan facility to support the acquisition

Based near Manchester, Safespaces has been operating for over 20+ years and specialises in designing and manufacturing class one medical devices for people with complex needs, including learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy, sensory seeking, or challenging behaviours. Safespaces design, manufacture, and install attractive tailor-made safe rooms, high sided beds and hi-lo adjustable beds for use at home, in schools, hospitals and respite centres, often proving to be life changing for their users.

Safespaces’ current set of products are widely recommended by practitioners and sold within the UK domestic market and on an international basis. It is considered the go-to supplier in the UK and increasingly in continental Europe and other markets for its products.

Euston Ventures is focused on acquiring specialist businesses that solve critical or technical challenges for their clients. They will support Safespaces in its next phase of growth.

In support of the acquisition Shawbrook provided facility to Euston. This will allow Euston and Safespaces to concentrate on pursuing their plans for expansion.

Shawbrook and Euston have a long working relationship with the lender supporting on several other of their acquisitions.
