Embarking on a new phase

Founded over 30 years ago, Window Ware is one of the UK’s largest specialists in the sourcing, marketing and wholesale distribution of leading brand door and window hardware. The company had been owned by Arran Isle Group for more than 20 years. Following acquisition by ASSA ABLOY earlier this year, a decision was made to divest to current management by way of MBO. The management team’s in-depth experience and strong leadership has been instrumental in the success of the business to date and will play a fundamental part as they look to build for the future.

Following this pivotal event for the business, the Window Ware team is committed to maintaining strong partnerships with employees, customers and supply partnerships, with an ongoing commitment to furthering its reputation as a leader in the fenestration sector and growing its share of the market.

Window Ware currently employs over 45 staff in Bedfordshire and works with clients across the UK.

Shawbrook provided a bespoke funding package comprising of an Asset Based Lending (ABL) facility and a cashflow loan to meet the individual needs of Window Ware.

Oliver Sutton, Director, Corporate Lending at Shawbrook, comments:

“Right from the beginning of our relationship, we were deeply impressed with Window Ware. The management team is highly professional, and they have built up a significant reputation in their marketplace. They have invested well into their business and established a scalable platform with smart and efficient processes. This puts them in great stead to build on their previous success.

“Samantha and the rest of the Window Ware team have big plans for the future of the company, and we’re thrilled that we could support them with the MBO.”

“We are living in an ageing population and with a clear lack of supply and a huge demand so we are look forward to continuing to build the relationship and hopefully fund a few more acquisitions for them in the near future.”
