Shawbrook Bank has picked up several awards at two of the financial industries’ most prominent ceremonies.
The specialist bank was named ‘Commercial Lender of the Year’ and ‘Development Lender off the Year (up to £10m)’ at the Bridging and Commercial (B&C) Awards.
Shawbrook was also a winner at the Business Moneyfacts 2020 event, picking up the ‘Best Commercial Mortgage Provider’ award.
Emma Cox, Sales Director of Shawbrook Bank’s Property Finance Division, said:
“We are absolutely delighted to have won these awards. It is an outstanding achievement and is testament once again to the hard work by the division throughout the year.
“To be nominated once is a great honour, but to be nominated several times and go on to win, is an incredible achievement. We’re very grateful for all the support, especially during the volatility and uncertainty that Covid-19 has presented.
“A huge congratulations to the wider team who helped make this happen and a sincere thank you to everyone who voted for us – we couldn’t be prouder of these awards!”
Terry Woodley, Managing Director of Development Finance at Shawbrook, said:
“After breaking through £500m of Development Finance facilities earlier this year, we’re incredibly proud to be named Development Lender of the Year (up to £10m) at the 2020 B&C Awards.
“In this extraordinary year, every scheme, every developer and every local market has had to face unique challenges. But as we all now look ahead to sites re-opening, new projects breaking ground and future plans being envisioned, we’re committed to playing our part and doing what we can to help re-build and sustain vital momentum in the sector.
“Thanks to the team at Bridging & Commercial for the recognition and we look forward to a time when we can celebrate together.”
The Business Moneyfacts Awards 2020 is held to reward the successes and achievements of institutions across several areas within the financial services industry. The B&C Awards recognise the leading lenders and brokers in the bridging and commercial finance space.
This year – due to the Covid-19 – both events were held virtually on Tuesday, July 21st, with Shawbrook receiving nominations across eleven categories in total.
